FreeZone 4.5 Liter Console Freeze Dry System

Freeze drying is an important process in sample preparation and for the preservation and storage of biologicals and pharmaceuticals. Of the various methods of dehydration, freeze drying (lyophilization) is especially suited for substances that are heat sensitive. Freeze drying is a process whereby water or other solvent is removed from frozen material by converting the frozen water directly into vapour without the intermediate formation of liquid water.

The FreeZone 4.5 Liter freeze dry system from Labconco is designed to handle the lyophilization of light aqueous sample loads in research labs. It allows for simultaneous processing of multiple samples and has a capacity which removes over 4 L of water in 24 hours.
